On 09/11/18, ESMM hosted a class of students from a Math & Science camp in Manhattan. It was a school holiday, but a regular workday, so only a few members were able to make it. The weather wasn't the best, drizzling, but the kids had a good time. Gary and Paul showed and explained how the boats functioned while answering a slew of very good questions.
After the Q & A, the kids each got a turn running one of two boats in the pond, Gary's scratch-built work barge and my upgraded Seaport Work boat. No damage to report. It was a pleasure hosting the well-behaved group and maybe we have sparked interest in model boating, in a few of them. Charlie R.
